Light is a very serious character. Like his foes, Light has a very high I.Q. and an amazing ability to think things through. He never acts rashly, and in general he has a knack for seeing through people. The thing is, Light barely shows his emotions to anyone and masks himself very well. As for friends, he doesn’t really have any, and whenever he is close to someone it is in order to use them. Perhaps he does really belong with Ryuk, as Light seems very bored with the world, and as Kira he attempts to rule it. He is a very ambitious guy!
Death Note
The main character is Light Yagami, a high school student who discovers a supernatural notebook, the "Death Note", dropped on Earth by a shinigami (a god of death) named Ryuk. The Death Note grants its user the ability to kill anyone whose name and face they know, by writing the name in the notebook while picturing their face.
The series centers around Light's attempt to create and rule a world "cleansed of evil" as "God" using the notebook, and the efforts of a detective known as L to stop him.

Light Yagami is the main character in the anime series, Death Note. He is the one known as Kira. 'Kira' is a Japanese pronunciation of the word 'killer'.
Light is very handsome as seen and described by many female characters in Death Note. We all must agree that we have at least noticed that by now.
In The Manga:
In the manga, Light's name is Raito. His personality traits are similar to the Light Yagami in the anime.
Sadly.. the endings of the manga and anime are very different.
We were not able to access much information on Light/Raito from the manga.
